Harvest Season: Autumn (March–May), following the summer rainfall season.

Vegetation & Landscape: A diverse mosaic of Valley Bushveld, Eastern Karoo Grassland, Afrotemperate Forest patches and Nama-Karoo shrubland, supporting free-ranging game across naturally diverse grazing and browsing habitats.

Meat Profile: This kudu offers a tender, fine-grained texture with exceptional succulence. Its natural diet of indigenous browse, fruits and aromatic shrubs imparts a delicate, slightly sweet flavour with subtle nutty notes, balanced by a refined, mild game character. Naturally lean, high in protein and rich in iron and vitamin B12.

Animal feeding habit: Primarily a browser, feeding on indigenous woody species including Vachellia karroo, Euclea undulata, Searsia spp., Grewia spp., Boscia spp., seasonal forbs, wild fruits and fresh grass shoots following rainfall.

General Notes: Free-ranging browser harvested under ethical, sustainable wildlife management practices from naturally functioning ecosystems.

Legal Framework: Harvested in compliance with South African provincial nature conservation legislation and veterinary regulations.

Processing Criteria: Processed at an ACPD-certified game abattoir holding a valid Certificate of Acceptability, approved in terms of the Meat Safety Act, 2000 (Act No. 40 of 2000). Packaged and distributed by VENISON, Cape Town, South Africa.
